In the world of lock-down, ame launched a new collaboration with mumei publishing in order to work on three newspaper publications. They are called mumei seven, mumei eight and mumei nine. Seven and Eight will be published on September 5th, followed by nine on October 31st.
This edition, mumei 7, is a collection of Akama’s installation and performance works between 2017 and 2019. The 24 page worth of photography is intricately and thoughtfully designed by Stephen Harvey, examining her aesthetics and ideas behind the works. Akama‘s ever-first solo book reveals how much her works contains ideas and expressions though none of them are quite explicit. This board sheet size newspaper is truly the beauty to keep in the shelf as well as use each page as a poster.
